At Gran Canaria Clean-Up, we believe that the wellbeing of young people and the health of our planet are deeply connected. Our mission is to create a cleaner, greener Gran Canaria while empowering young adults to build mental and climate resilience. We do this by combining environmental action with personal growth, offering hands-on experiences that inspire confidence, connection, and a brighter future.

Gran Canaria Clean-Up was founded just last year as part of The Route 66 Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of young adults and restoring balance between humanity and nature.
Our mission is to create opportunities for young people to reconnect with themselves and the environment. By actively participating in clean-ups, ecological building projects, and community initiatives, they develop valuable skills, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Through these experiences, we are nurturing the next generation of eco-conscious changemakers, building a brighter and more sustainable future for Gran Canaria and beyond.

Behind every clean-up, awareness campaign and community action is a team of dedicated volunteers who give their time, energy and commitment week after week. We work side by side, with no distinction between organisers and volunteers. Together, we are one team, united by a shared love for nature and a desire to create positive change
